Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage Now Supports Veeam® Backup & Replication V10

New solution enables faster, stronger, smarter data backup and protection.

BOSTON — June 15, 2020 — Wasabi, the hot cloud storage company, today announced verified interoperability with Veeam® Backup & Replication v10, part of the Veeam Availability Suite. When combined together, Wasabi and Veeam, the leader in backup solutions that deliver Cloud Data Management, provide low-cost data protection with high-capacity scalability and performance that is unmatched by first-generation cloud storage providers.

The Veeam solution in conjunction with Wasabi makes the core processes for data backup and recovery operations more cost-effective and faster, while minimizing the requirement for on-premises hardware, eliminating risk and helping ensure business continuity.

Veeam v10 allows objects to be copied directly to the cloud, simplifying data backup and making it easier for businesses to move to the cloud. With v10, enterprises can take control of their own data, combat ransomware and reduce risks with a comprehensive backup strategy and lower the total cost of ownership for IT infrastructure and cloud storage while increasing IT staff productivity.

“Integrating Veeam solutions with Wasabi hot cloud storage gives customers an additional choice for optimizing their cloud and backup cost structures with the option to grow and scale,” said Andreas Neufert, vice president of product management, Alliances at Veeam.

Backing up and restoring data with Wasabi offers enhanced cost benefits as users can expect savings of up to 80% over Amazon S3. Wasabi’s pricing model is simple and predictable with no fees for egress or API requests. Businesses realize the benefit of infinite cloud storage with Wasabi’s bottomless vault for data, which ensures companies will never run out of space.

“Every day, more data is produced than the day before, and customers using Veeam solutions with Wasabi’s hot cloud storage are getting the best in cloud data management,” said David Friend, CEO of Wasabi. “This combined solution allows companies the flexibility to use top-of-the-line cloud services without financial penalties and with the freedom to select the best fit for their business without vendor lock-in.”

This new enhancement adds to the existing set of solutions that Wasabi offers as a Veeam Technology Alliance partner, including compatibility with Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 v4 and Veeam Backup and Replication v9.5 Update 4. Last year, Wasabi completed Veeam Ready Object storage testing, which confirms both feature compatibility and performance levels according to Veeam’s partner testing program standards.
