†Malwarebytes, the leading advanced malware prevention and remediation solution, today announced the strategic expansion of its sales department with†Steve De Marco†joining the company as SVP of Global Sales. De Marco brings more than 25 years of experience in software sales, including specialization in the mid-market and small-to-medium business (SMB) space to Malwarebytes’ seasoned executive ranks.

“Steve’s extensive sales experience will be very important as Malwarebytes continues to grow its B2B business. I look forward to the guidance and insights he will bring to our team,” said†Marcin Kleczynski, Malwarebytes CEO. “Steve has proven time and again his ability to develop world-class sales teams to drive revenue growth, while simultaneously delivering the highest quality customer satisfaction rates.”

Before coming to Malwarebytes, De Marco was Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Alliances at Xactly Corp., a pure-play, software-as-a-service (SaaS) company providing cloud-based software and services for sales performance management and engagement. De Marco joined Xactly while in its early startup stage and helped grow the business, working in various positions, until its initial public offering (IPO) in 2015. While at Xactly, De Marco helped expand its presence to†Denver,†Washington DC,†London,†Latin America†and the†Asia Pacific†and built the sales and business development team from three people to a team of more than 120. Prior to that success, De Marco served as Managing Director of Business Development at CallidusCloud and Regional Sales Manager at Informatica. De Marco also previously held positions with Adaptec, SGI, and Accenture. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from California Polytechnic State University.

“Having worked in software for most of my career, I’ve been able to watch as the industry has grown and evolved,” said†Steve De Marco, SVP Global Sales, Malwarebytes. “Unfortunately, that growth in technology has been matched by the growth and evolution of the cyber threat landscape. Today, every industry is more threatened than ever before. I strongly believe that in order for businesses to be profitable, and provide the absolute best they have to offer, they can’t be held back by weak security. Over the years, Malwarebytes has established itself as a company dedicated to helping businesses and consumers live free of malicious threats. I’m pleased to be joining a company with almost universal respect among information technology and cybersecurity professionals.”

Since 2016, Malwarebytes has made several important appointments to its executive team and Board of Directors, including:†Justin Dolly, EVP, CSO and CIO; Raj Mallempati, SVP of Marketing;†Elena Verna, SVP of Growth and†Gary Steele, CEO at Proofpoint. The company looks forward to continued expansion, growing its reach and accelerating sales to help more businesses and consumers live free from cyber threats.
