IT and Business Insights for SMB Solution Providers

Kaseya Acquires Cloud Management Vendor Unigma: Page 2 of 2

The move arms Kaseya partners to administer public cloud environments in addition to on-premises resources.

Kaseya CEO Fred Voccola told ChannelPro in January that adding cloud management to Kaseya’s portfolio was a top priority for 2017, and that the company was likely both to build solutions internally and buy third-party providers in pursuit of that goal. According to Lippie, further purchases are not out of the question.

“We’re always looking at possible acquisitions, both in the cloud management and security spaces,” he says. On the other hand, he continues, adding Unigma’s cloud management development team to Kaseya’s payroll makes creating new products internally a more viable option than before as well.

“There’s a lot of conversation about what we’re going to do next,” Bensonoff says.

Kaseya Connect concludes on Thursday.
