As a result, Howest expects most Ingram partners without an existing RPA practice to lean heavily on the distributor’s professional services arm at first. Partners will also be able to test proof of concept solutions, stage demo projects, and attend RPA labs at Ingram’s IoT Centers of Excellence, the first of which opened its doors last year.

UiPath caught the attention of observers inside and beyond the IT industry last month, when its IPO produced one of the largest cash hauls in history for a U.S. software company. Ingram is the first distributor the fast-growing company has partnered with.

“They’re putting a lot of eggs into just one big basket, and we’ll try to make it work well for them and for their partners that we’re now onboarding,” Howest says.
