D&H Distributing, a computer products and consumer electronics distributor, is hosting its second virtual trade show on Sept. 17, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m..
Focused on mobility products, trends, and training, the virtual event is the second of its kind for the distributor. The first event, which took place earlier in the year, attracted some 400-plus online participants.
Attendance is free for D&H customers. Registration is on-going on D&H's Web site.
The virtual expo will feature "booths," hosted by event sponsors, including HP, Lenovo, Acer, and Fujitsu. Within their respective "booths," the sponsoring vendors will present product-based instructional videos, chat sessions, and other vendor-based resources, including download materials and links.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. with open remarks from D&H Co-presidents Dan and Michael Schwab. Those remarks will be followed by a keynote address given by D&H solutions specialist Bill Hersh.
Hersh, who hosted a seminar about server sales is a frequent presenter at D&H events.
D&H hopes to attract customers looking to widen their product knowledge without the travel and hospitality costs associated with traditional technology shows.
"Since the event is very logistically streamlined, we can set a laser-focus on what we think are the most profitable technologies and categories of the moment for those customers," says Mary Campbell, D&H's vice president of marketing. "It's an expedient, affordable value-add that enhances what has become an ample list of D&H training opportunities."
As is the case at other D&H events, the Virtual Mobility Expo will be a "selling" event. That is, there will deep discounts for those in attendance. Attendees can also earn "event points" as they make their way the various elements and attractions of the online event (viewing presentations, downloading materials, engaging in chat forums, etc.). The top-three "event point" earners will each prize packages valued at more than $1,000. In addition, attendees will also be entered into a drawing for the chance to win one of ten $1,000 Visa Gift Cards drawn at random.
