Alteva Creates UC Certification Program

The three-level program focuses on helping partner position the cloud-based unified communications solution, expand their offerings, and boost revenues. By Cecilia Galvin

Philadelphia-based unified communications (UC) solution provider Alteva LLC has developed a certification program to help partners position its cloud-based UC solution—consisting of hosted VoIP integrated with Microsoft Communication Services—as well as expand their offerings, boost revenues, and increase market share.

The program has three levels. At Level 1, a two-day program, Alteva provides partners with a technical and historical overview of telecom and UC, including such topics as LAN/WLAN, customer network design, and multilink Internet. The latter part of the day is devoted to positioning and selling Alteva’s UC solutions.

The second day of Level 1 training is led by Sandler Training, part of Sandler Systems Inc., Owings Mills, Md., a sales training company. Curriculum focuses on tactical sales and communication skills, outbound call scripts, and techniques to control the buyer-seller relationship to help with prospecting. The second half of the day, Sandler teaches effective selling.

Level 2 training is a deep dive into the Alteva sales process and provides questioning, presentation, and closing techniques. Level 3 training is devoted to mastering questioning techniques, negotiation strategies and techniques, behavioral profiling, and more.
