Barracuda is sharpening its focus on MSP outcomes by enhancing its BarracudaOne platform with features that help partners respond to threats faster, automate multitenant workflows, and reduce operational strain. Among the most impactful additions are the new BarracudaOne AI Assistant, expanded PSA integrations for automated billing, and bulk email remediation designed to streamline threat response across all customer environments.
For MSPs fighting margin pressure and talent shortages, these capabilities offer practical ways to deliver stronger security with fewer resources. They also support Barracuda’s goal of helping partners scale without expanding headcount.
These enhancements reflect a long-term commitment to helping MSPs secure clients more efficiently. That’s according to Sean Butler, vice president of product marketing for Barracuda, who recently spoke with ChannelPro about the BarracudaOne updates.
“When you think about how you scale out your operation, how you make it easier to secure your customers, and, ultimately, how you help yourself and them sleep better at night, Barracuda and the BarracudaOne platform are going to be there for you.”
BarracudaOne AI Assistant Reduces the Skills Gap
AI Assistant is a significant addition to BarracudaOne. It converts decades of Barracuda best practices, documentation, and security guidance into a conversational tool technicians can use in real time.
MSPs gain faster answers, junior techs make fewer mistakes, and teams spend less time hunting through documentation.
“Barracuda Assistant puts all of the different knowledge articles and best practices we’ve acquired directly into a chat interface,” Butler explained. “[That] lets the technicians and the employees ask questions of it as they work to figure out, ‘How do I secure these customers?’”
This matters especially to MSPs struggling to hire cybersecurity talent. AI levels up technicians and boosts their productivity so that MSPs can take on more customers without raising payroll.
“It helps MSPs scale,” Butler said. “So many MSPs that we talk to are thinking about how to do more but not grow their employee footprint.”
Streamlined PSA Integrations Improve Efficiency
Barracuda recently expanded BarracudaOne integrations across all major PSA platforms. For MSPs, more unified data means less manual work and cleaner workflows.

The updates allow partners to deploy, manage, and monitor Barracuda services with fewer clicks, Butler noted. Barracuda’s goal is to be easy to buy, deploy, and use, and PSA integration is central to that promise, he added.
Better workflow automation also reduces overhead and improves ticket resolution time, two direct levers for margin improvement.
Bulk Email Remediation Cuts Time and Reduces Risk
One of the biggest operational wins for MSPs comes from Barracuda’s new bulk email remediation feature.
Previously, technicians had to remediate malicious emails one customer at a time. Now, they can take action across their entire customer base with a single workflow.
“If you’re an MSP, you’re not managing one customer,” Butler emphasized. “When you say, ‘This is a bad e-mail; I recognize this,’ you don’t want to go mark that 1,000 times to make sure it doesn’t make it to the inboxes of all the companies that you manage.
“We really streamlined that workflow. It will allow them to exclude that email and not just remediate it for one customer at a time, but across their entire customer base.”
This reduces technician workload. It also speeds threat response and limits exposure — two factors that directly affect customer retention and service profitability.
Agentic AI Means Faster Threat Remediation
Barracuda also has leaned more into agentic AI approaches that take automatic action on behalf of MSPs.
For MSPs, reducing dwell time is one of the most important levers for minimizing damage and preventing costly escalations. It also protects customers even when an MSP is offline. “That’s really an incredible promise to how this channel will secure the businesses of their customers,” Butler shared.
Less manual intervention means lower costs. Faster containment means fewer escalations. Both create real financial impact for MSPs.
Built for MSP Scale, Not Just Security
Above all, Butler emphasized Barracuda’s ongoing investment in the MSP channel. Barracuda treats its MSPs as true partners, and builds its products with scale in mind for those service providers.
Put simply, BarracudaOne is evolving to improve security, expand MSP capacity, reduce labor strain, and protect profits.
What MSPs Can Expect Next
Barracuda is in the early stages of a longer innovation arc, Butler said. “BarracudaOne is not an end cap to a journey, but the beginning of one.”
More AI-driven features, more automation, and deeper integrations are on the roadmap. With them, Barracuda aims to improve partner efficiency, margins, and customer outcomes.
Security has become core to every MSP offering. With tools that automate threat detection, streamline remediation, and simplify technician work, Barracuda is positioning MSPs to secure more customers without adding more staff.
