Vendor to Watch: MyCloudIT

MyCloudIT is a unified cloud management and cost optimization platform for Microsoft Azure.

NO ONE KNOWS BETTER what an MSP needs to grow and become more efficient than another MSP, which is what led Dallas-based Conexlink to develop MyCloudIT, its management and optimization platform for Microsoft Azure. “We’ve walked not one mile, but probably a hundred miles, in the managed service provider’s shoes,” says Kris Tufto (pictured), chief revenue officer, who came onboard in March 2021 to build an industry presence and ramp up outbound marketing efforts. “We saw an opportunity on the software side and started building a management and a cost-saving solution.”

With the MyCloudIT platform, MSPs can automate deployment, management, and optimization for Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop and Remote Desktop Services, including setting auto-scaling policies and rightsizing VMs and storage. The platform scales from five to 10,000 users.

MyCloudIT offers three products. MyCloudIT Simplify starts at $2 per user, per month, without an Azure subscription. MyCloudIT Streamline includes an Azure subscription and starts at $10/user/month. And MyCloudIT Enhance is a fully managed solution that includes an Azure subscription and starts at $20/user/month.

With Streamline and Enhance, MSPs receive a monthly cost-saving analysis, summary of Azure spend, and quarterly optimization reviews. The platform’s predictability features “make sure that you don’t get any surprises at the end of the month,” Tufto says. “We have the alerting capability in our solution so that if something happens, you’re notified right away as far as usage or somebody adds some new VMs or somebody adds some storage.”

Going forward, Tufto says MyCloudIT will continue to build out its feature set, but will “stick to our knitting” with its exclusive focus on Azure.

The value-add for MSPs, Tufto says, is that the platform “helps them save a ton of money in Azure. Secondly, it automates a number of functions for them so that they can support their customers better [and] drive more new business. And then, thirdly, I think it helps them sleep at night.”
