Lastline, the leader in AI-powered network security, has announced that†John DiLullo†has joined the company as CEO, effective immediately. Mr. DiLullo brings 25 years of demonstrated success in enterprise security, networking, and AI, plus go-to-market expertise spanning sales, marketing, customer success, and support, and operations. John will apply his breadth and depth of experience toward maintaining Lastline’s momentum and ensuring its customers’ success.
“John brings the right mix of knowledge, skills, and cultural fit to lead Lastline’s continued growth and success,” said†Barmak Meftah, Lastline board member and CEO of AlienVault. “He has proven success with managing global organizations and driving exponential revenue growth. As Lastline’s products are increasingly embraced by marquee customers and channel partners, it clearly was time to augment the executive team with someone who previously has managed the complexities of a worldwide operation. Speaking for the board, we’re all excited to have John as our new CEO.”
Mr. DiLullo’s career includes extensive time with market leaders Cisco, Avaya, SonicWall, and Aruba Networks. Most recently he was EVP for F5 Network’s $2B+ Worldwide Sales and Customer Operations, delivering improved performance and security to Enterprise and Service Provider data centers and public cloud environments. In taking the helm at Lastline, John will be leading a company that is uniquely positioned to provide AI-powered enterprise security solutions that allow understaffed security teams to better defend their organizations against increasingly complex and rapidly evolving threats.
Co-founder and previous CEO, Dr.†Christopher Kruegel, will transition to Chief Product Officer, pursuing his passion for building amazing products. Christopher will focus on driving the company’s product roadmap and maintaining the company’s technology leadership, which is particularly important given the company’s initial push into the Network Traffic Analytics space with the recently announced Lastline Network Defender product.
“Lastline clearly has cracked the code when it comes to cybersecurity,” commented Mr. DiLullo. “What the founders realized was that the only way to counter advanced zero-day threats is by leveraging AI and machine learning to sift through massive amounts of network and behavior data to spot the signs of an attack or breach. I’m thrilled to be leading a company filled with such passionate and committed people. The co-founders, Chris, Dr.†Giovanni Vigna, and Dr.†Engin Kirda, and the entire executive team have done an amazing job building a product that protects customers from the onslaught of cyberattacks. Building on their great achievements promises to be exciting for me, the Lastline team, and our customers.”
