SolarWinds MSP has announced a phased rollout of a new single-sign-on (SSO) login system for key SolarWinds MSP solutions. The Durham, N.C.-based maker of managed services software says the SSO system sets the groundwork for improving the user experience and strengthening security across its portfolio.
The new SSO approach is intended to better integrate login and two-factor-authentication, adding to existing user management options. In addition, updated features offer increased flexibility for security settings at the individual user level. Altogether, these updates provide stronger high-level security for day-to-day operations while improving convenience for users.
The current rollout applies to the following products:
- SolarWinds RMM, and integrated into the RMM dashboard
- SolarWinds MSP Manager
- SolarWinds MSP Anywhere
- SolarWinds Risk Intelligence
This functionality is available for all these products on the SolarWinds RMM mobile apps for Android and iOS operating systems.

Single-sign-on, together with two-factor authentication, helps to alleviate misuse, provides stronger authentication, and furthers the integration into one powerful and more secure platform.”
The SolarWinds MSP suite of essential security capabilities includes patch management, managed antivirus, web content filtering, mail filtering, and backup and recovery.
In January, SolarWinds MSP shipped an updated edition of the mobile administration app for its N-central RMM system, available for both iOS and Android devices; and announced the acquisition of cloud-based log monitoring and analytics vendor Loggly.
