Marketopia’s 4u2grow Event Aims to ‘Supercharge Growth’

The second annual conference and expo for MSPs, VARs, systems integrators, and other technology businesses features educational sessions designed to accelerate growth.

Marketopia’s second annual 4u2grow event is underway, running October 11 to 13 at the Postcard Inn in St. Pete, Fla. The sold-out conference is “dedicated to supercharging the growth of your technology business.” Marketopia is a marketing and demand generation agency for the IT channel.

Targeting MSPs, VARs, systems integrator, and other technology businesses, the event’s sessions are all designed to accelerate growth. Topics include actionable strategies for increasing sales, upgrading existing clients, improving your brand, generating new leads, and closing deals. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with peers and browse the expo.

Yesterday, Marketopia held a morning-long open house to meet the team, followed by lunch and “Mastermind” sessions in the afternoon for clients and sponsors/speakers.

This morning, over 75 attendees are present on a warm, sunny day that kicks off with Terry Hedden, CEO of Marketopia, taking the stage at 8 a.m., telling attendees that the event will be about practical real-world lessons in what he calls “an intense workshop.” Day 1 is all about learning how to get net-new leads and driving growth through your business by winning more deals.

He is followed by keynote speaker Aaron Ross, best-selling author of Predictable Revenue: Turn Your Business into a Sales Machine with the $100 Million Best Practices of Called “The Sales Bible of the Silicon Valley,” the book has been No. 1 on Amazon’s telemarketing list for more than two years.

Ross founded Predictable Revenue, a B2B consulting company; and PebbleStorm, which is focused on helping people “make money through enjoyment” by combining happiness and money.

Ross is also presenting an afternoon session on “Nail the Niche.”

Marketopia’s Hedden, along with RapidFire Tools’ Vice President of Sales Mark Winter, are giving a session on “What to Do Before You Present Your Proposal to Ensure It Gets Signed.” Other sessions today include networking mastery, taking prospecting to the next level, leveraging security to win more deals, managing LinkedIn for leads, and using backup to overcome price objectives to your MSP offering.

Tomorrow Hedden kicks off the day with a talk on “Living the Dream,” followed by a panel discussion on recurring revenue.

Other sessions include creating contracts, selling to the mid-enterprise, and several sessions on finding and increasing profits. Hedden closes the event with a presentation on “Creating an Unstoppable Sales Machine.”
