Tech Data Corp.†today announced that it has added Veeam Cloud Connect for the Enterprise deployed on Microsoft Azure to the StreamOne Cloud Marketplace, the distributor’s platform for end-to-end provisioning and billing of software and cloud services. The offering is available in the U.S. and Europe.
Veeam Cloud Connect for the Enterprise enables Veeam customers to extend their backup infrastructure to different clouds, and allows service providers to offer both Backup-as-a-Service or complete availability solutions. The solution is designed to give customers full control of their data through scheduled and managed backups to Azure that apply customer-specific archiving and retention policies. It also features end-to-end encryption aimed at ensuring data is always secure, both at rest and in transit.
“StreamOne is rapidly becoming the aggregation and management platform of choice for cloud partners, and with the addition of VeeamCloud Connect for the Enterprise it becomes an even more useful and convenient platform,” said Michael Urban, corporate vice president for strategy, transformation, and global vendor management at Tech Data, in a press statement. “Using Veeam Cloud Connect on Azure gives customers the peace of mind that their data is protected by market-leading technologies. The recent high-profile ransomware attacks have underlined the critical nature of ensuring availability and rigidly imposing that discipline.”
Customers can automatically deploy a trial version of Veeam Cloud Connect for the Enterprise on Azure via StreamOne. Following the trial period, they can purchase a license key that will deliver a fully-featured version.
