LabTech Software, a remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform for managed service providers and IT departments, has integrated with Thycotic Secret Server, an enterprise password management software that is designed to protect user credentials from external and insider threats. Through this addition, IT professionals can now reference shared credentials from a single information source on the LabTech platform, enabling them to access secure client devices and protect privileged accounts.
“By expanding our offering to include a password management solution, we give LabTech partners the ability to strengthen their security posture and diminish exposure to risk,” says Matt Nachtrab, CEO, LabTech Software.
Thycotic Secret Server is used by IT service providers to secure passwords and other sensitive data as a way to increase security and reduce potential for harmful breaches. The technology allows risk mitigation professionals to store, organize, and manage privileged and confidential accounts in an on-domain, web-based vault.
“Organizations are facing mounting security threats on a daily basis, as evidenced by the constant headlines of yet another company data breach,” says Jonathan Cogley, CEO of Thycotic. “By combining the remote monitoring features of LabTech with Secret Server’s privileged account management capabilities, IT administrators can now secure, store, distribute, monitor, and audit user credentials through a single interface.”
