ViewSonic†Corp. has unveiled its new range of Zero Clients, designed to enhance the user experience for virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) users.
VDI Technology
ViewSonic’s Zero Client solutions enable users to access their virtual desktops on a central server via Teradici’s PCoIP technology. The new PCoIP Zero Clients give end-users direct access to their virtual desktops, without the need for a local CPU or storage, enhancing the VDI experience. The PCoIP protocol delivers an image of the desktop to the Zero Client via pixels with no data leaving the server and enhancing data security.
Certified for VMware Horizon View
ViewSonic’s Zero Client devices are designed for companies that require a high-performance desktop experience, with added security, and manageability in VMware Horizon View environments. According to ViewSonic, the 22-inch SD-Z225 and 24-inch SD-Z245 integrated zero client displays offer simple and quick deployment, enhanced security with no local HDD, increased reliability, higher productivity, and a cleaner desktop space. In addition, the integrated displays, with DVI-I digital or analog outputs, provide dual-display productivity when connected to a secondary display.
The ViewSonic SC-Z55 is a standalone Zero Client that can be used in conjunction with existing displays. All ViewSonic Zero Clients are certified as VMware Horizon View Clients to ensure optimum performance, security, and network compatibility.
The SD-Z245, SD-Z225, and SC-Z55 will be available April 2014.
