Networking solutions innovator ADTRAN Inc. announced this week at Meggin Sawyer, its regional vice president of service provider networks, has been selected to join the CompTIA Telecom Advisory Council (TAC).
The TAC is a council recently formed to provide insight and guidance for the channel resellers-IT firm relationship.
“By joining the CompTIA TAC, Sawyer will use her industry experience and knowledge to help the council’s mission of unifying telecom agents and business partner channels,” states an ADTRAN press release submitted to ChannelPro-SMB. “With the overall goal of connecting IT firms and channel resellers and their associated business models, Sawyer and the council will work to understand and address the challenges facing these channels in the marketplace.”
Sawyer says SMB expectations for cloud services from traditional network and equipment providers represent opportunities for IT firms and VARs. “I look forward to working with both groups to help bridge the gap between these providers’ business practices to enable them to support the SMB’s evolving needs,” she says.
The Telecom Advisory Council is the third industry group established by CompTIA.
