Integrated conferencing solutions provider ACT Conferencing and cloud video conferencing innovator Vidtel have announced a strategic partnership aimed at bringing a cloud-based video conferencing service to the SMB market.
“ACT and Vidtel are working together to develop a new cloud offering in the ACT product suite, which will launch next month,” states an ACT Conferencing press release submitted to ChannelPro-SMB.
ACT reports an increase demand from channel partners for flexible, easy-to-use video conferencing services.
The forthcoming service ties together H.323, SIP, Skype, Google Talk, and WebRTC endpoints into one virtual meeting room.
“It will make innovative high-quality video conferencing a reality for business customers while reinforcing ACT’s leadership position in the conferencing and collaboration marketplace,” the ACT press release states.
Gary Iles, ACT’s vice president of sales and marketing, says ACT Conferencing and Vidtel share common goals in the SMB space. “ACT and Vidtel share a common belief in delivering visionary products and cost innovation that improve reliability and the user experience,” he says
For its part, Vidtel says the partnership is an extension of its longtime commitment to conferencing services. “Vidtel is 100 percent focused on delivering our cloud services to customers through thought-leading strategic partners like ACT,” says Vidtel CEO Scott Wharton.
