Research in Motion (RIM), a wireless provider, has launched BlackBerry Mobile Fusion, a next-generation enterprise mobility product and RIM’s entry into the multi-platform mobile device management marketplace. BlackBerry Mobile Fusion will simplify the management of smartphones and tablets running BlackBerry, Android, and Apple iOS operating system.
BlackBerry Mobile Fusion brings BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0.3 together with new management capabilities for BlackBerry PlayBook tablets and mobile device management for smartphones and tablets running other operating systems. Features include:
- Asset management
- Configuration management
- Security and policy definition and management
- Secure and protect lost or stolen devices with remote lock and wipe
- User- and group-based administration
- Multiple device per user capabilities
- Application and software management
- Connectivity management, including Wi-Fi, VPN, certificate
- Centralized console
- Scalability to various organization sizes
