Cloud automation and management software developer Cloupia announced Open Automation for Clouds this week. The solution enables SMBs to extend, add, or enhance data center management and operations automation in addition to its “out of the box” Cloupia Unified Infrastructure Controller (CUIC) cloud and data center automation capabilities.
Cloupia aims to help SMBs evolve from static data center or virtual environments to private and public cloud environments. According to the company, its goal is to help SMBs “achieve the goals of elasticity, efficiency, cost savings, and agility that businesses are expecting from IT today.”
Cloupia’s new Open Automation for Clouds capability is designed to provide SMBs with a means of automatically adding multiple infrastructure and cloud vendors as an extension of their data centers. “IT administrators can customize and automate many infrastructure administrative and operational tasks,” states Cloupia in a press release submitted to Channel Pro-SMB, “while allowing IT teams to build and execute repeatable physical and virtual infrastructure provisioning workflows without complex custom scripts and expensive system integration engagements.”

Cloupia is providing evaluation software, a software development kit, documentation, and training for partners and customers adopting Open Automation for Clouds.
