Infortrend Adds New Drive Options to Its ESVA E60
The enterprise scalable virtualized architecture solution now offers 10GbE host connectivity options as well as support for 6Gb/s SAS and SSD.
Network storage innovator Infortrend has added a number of new connectivity and drive options to its enterprise scalable virtualized architecture (ESVA) E60 storage solution.†
In addition to the existing 1GbE option, the ESVA E60 now offers the option of 10GbE host connectivity.†Drive options on the E60 have also been enhanced, with newly added support for 6Gb/s SAS and SSD.
The ESVA E60 with 10GbE iSCSI host connectivity can support a powerful IP SAN. In datacenters featuring 10GbE backbones, the ESVA E60 enables users to leverage current investments in IP networks to achieve†SAN consolidation.
With the new drive options, the ESVA E60 supports 6 Gb/s SAS drives, 3 Gb/s SATA drives, and solid state drives.
Thomas Kao, Infortrend’s director of product planning calls the ESVA is a “proven high-performance storage solution for mid-range enterprises.”
Kao adds, “The addition of the latest 10GbE iSCSI host connectivity further strengthens ESVA’s ability to support high-performance storage applications in IP SAN environments.†When combined with high-performance drives, the ESVA E60 helps mid-range enterprises maximize productivity, while optimizing return on investment and simplifying storage infrastructure.”
