LabTech Software Adds Backup and Recovery
New SaaS add-on from the remote monitoring and management developer provides MSPs enables system migration and additional recurring services revenue.
Remote monitoring and management innovator LabTech Software has added an integrated backup and recovery tool to its suite for MSPs. Called LT Backup, the tool enables automated and managed client backup and dis
aster recovery.
According to LabTech, LT Backup comes with automated recoverability tests that execute daily to test backup restorations. In addition, image-based backup routines capture snapshots of the entire system, enabling images to be restored to any computer or virtual machine regardless of hardware inconsistencies.
In a press release to EH Publishing, LabTech says its LT Backup can “perform a complete bare metal recovery in minutes … including physical servers to virtual servers.”
LabTech CEO Matt Nachtrab says he expects the new backup and recovery tool to be popular among MSPs. “LabTech users will find this to be an excellent option for servers, desktops, and laptops for disk-based backup, disaster recovery, and system migration,” he says, “and it opens up additional recurring revenue opportunities for MSPs and resellers.”
LT Backup is available immediately. It is sold as a monthly SaaS licensing model.
