Level Platforms Readies its Services for Windows 7
Software-as-a-service provider announces ongoing support for Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
LPI Level Platforms Inc. provides monitoring of virtually all on-premises Microsoft products designed for use in the SMB market as well as monitoring of hosted Exchange and SharePoint (including Microsoft’s Business Productivity Online Suite).
This week, the company announced ongoing support for Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
According to Level Platforms, its partners that use Managed Workplace–a platform for managed services providers (MSPs)–can now provide the same level of availability and performance in monitoring and management via Windows 7 as it has done via XP and Vista.
Managed Workplace is an advanced .NET product, incorporating the full Microsoft stack including deep integration with Microsoft WSUS for advanced and secure agentless patch management.
“Remote management of Windows 7 PCs represents a major opportunity for solution providers and MSPs,” says Peter Sandiford, CEO of Level Platforms.
According to Sandiford, Managed Workplace under Windows 7 will offer the same agentless monitoring and management of an entire desktop, but with what he calls “some great new features.
“For example, we are monitoring Microsoft’s Bitlocker Drive Encryption, which protects against data theft and exposure on computers that are lost or stolen,” Sandiford explains. “This allows MSPs to receive alerts to ensure that these functions are fully operational, providing enhanced security and peace of mind to end customers using Windows 7.”
