Sanyo and Synnex Form Distribution Agreement
Electronics manufacturer Sanyo looks to expand its reach in the IT channel through Synnex’s customer base.
Sanyo, a manufacturer of electronics, and Synnex Corp., an IT distributor, have formed a partnership. In an effort to expand its reach into the IT market, Sanyo is looking for Synnex to provide it a base of customers in the retail, PC reseller, and VAR distribution channels.
With a focus on IT categories, Synnex distributes technology products from more than 100 IT OEM suppliers to more than 15,000 resellers throughout North America. The company provides services in IT distribution, contract assembly, and global business services.
Sanyo’s Mark Holt, vice president and general manager of the company’s presentation technologies, says the Synnex’s expertise in the IT realm will be beneficial. “All of us at Sanyo are looking forward to a long-term relationship with Synnex as our IT distribution partner,” he says, “because of its professional, consultative approach to the various IT markets.”
For its part, Synnex will be expanding its line with a recognized brand. “Sanyo is known for the high quality products it offers and is an established leader in this market,” says T.J. Trojan, senior vice president of product marketing at Synnex.
