Bell Micro Offers Teneros High-Availability and Disaster Recover SaaS for Microsoft Exchange
The distributor extends its relationship with Teneros to offer 24/7email uptime for businesses running Exchange.
San Jose, Calif.-based distributor Bell Microproducts Inc. announced that it has expanded its relationship with Teneros, Inc., a provider of email continuity solutions. Bell Micro currently distributes the Teneros Application Continuity Appliances for Microsoft Exchange through its reseller network and will now expand its messaging continuity offering with Teneros’ new High Availability and Disaster Recovery Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) for Microsoft Exchange.
The addition of Teneros’ new SaaS offering enhances an existing contract manufacturing partnership already in place between the two companies. “Teneros SaaS provides three key benefits: No capital expenditure; scalability to fit evolving business requirements; and lower costs for messaging infrastructure operations, because no additional IT skills or in-house maintenance are required,” notes Maritza Marie Dubec, director of marketing communications for Teneros. †
Using Teneros’ Instant-On failover technology, the company’s new SaaS offering provides around-the-clock email uptime for businesses running Microsoft Exchange. Included in the monthly per mailbox fee, Teneros supplies customers with an on-premise, SaaS appliance that requires no reconfiguration, modification, or additional software on the Exchange server or network infrastructure, and it can be installed in the customer’s network. The SaaS appliances are remotely managed, maintained, and updated from the Teneros Network Operations Center (NOC). The appliances use transactional integrity validation-Teneros’ proprietary, real-time data verification technology-to prevent the replication of Exchange data corruption on Teneros appliances, yielding a high-integrity copy of the email database within the customer’s security perimeter.
With the Teneros partnership, Bell Micro can also assist resellers chartered with migrating their customers from Exchange 2003 to 2007. According to Gary Gammon, senior vice president of enterprise marketing for Bell Micro, “Bell Micro is once again demonstrating its commitment to the success of its partners. Helping our customers with budgetary issues creates a win-win situation not only for the VARs, but for Bell Micro, Teneros, and end-users as well.”
Additionally, Bell Micro will exclusively handle all reseller channel sales fulfillment for Teneros’ Application Continuity Appliance for Microsoft Exchange. Powered by HP’s ProLiant servers, Teneros’ Application Continuity Appliances and on-premise SaaS appliances for Microsoft Exchange are designed to solve the pressing challenge of email outages for corporations worldwide. According to Dubec, “Bell Micro brought capabilities to the table that other distributors simply could not match.”
