VoltDB, a provider of a high-velocity database based in Billerica, Mass., now has a formal multitier partner program. VoltDB is an in-memory database designed for applications requiring database throughput that can reach millions of operations per second.
The VoltDB program will include the following: teaming partners (designed for one project opportunity at a time or an occasional need to resell VoltDB to satisfy a specific customer requirement); certified system integrators; VARs; and strategic partnerships that will include OEMs looking to embed VoltDB as part of an application, appliance, or other complete integrated solution offering.
In a related announcement, the company has launched Volt University, which is offering three categories of training and development:
- Volt University Online features monthly webcasts, tutorials, white papers, demos, and code samples, and is free to the Volt community.
- Volt University Classroom provides in-person instruction and is administered by the VoltDB engineering team.
- Volt Vanguard Certification includes a set of self-paced, online courses and testing for full VoltDB certification, enabling certified participants to develop VoltDB-based applications. Cost per student begins at $495.
