Uplevel 3.0 Unlocks New Revenues, Competitive Advantages for MSPs Serving Small Business

All-in-One Network Solution Reduces Recurring ISP Costs; Includes Enhancements to Firewall, Storage, Wi-Fi

The latest product release from Uplevel Systems, provider of network infrastructure solutions to managed service providers (MSPs), unlocks profitable new sectors of the small business information technology (IT) market with advances in security, storage, and remote management. Unbox Release 3.0 also eliminates the need for costly recurring Internet Service Provider (ISP) fees associated with Internet Protocol (IP) addresses.

“As always, our engineering focus is on helping MSPs serving small-to-medium (SMB) businesses deliver compelling new services customers can afford while improving their own business model,” says†Tom Alexander, founder and President of Uplevel Systems. “Release 3.0 unlocks new recurring revenues while making it easier for customers to benefit from enterprise-class performance and security and the peace of mind that comes with expert IT management.”

Uplevel’s Unbox solution combines Ethernet, Wi-Fi, firewall, backup, and virtual private network (VPN) technology, and high-quality voice-over-IP (VoIP) support into one simple to operate solution. Easy remote deployment and management by Tier 1 technicians lets MSPs improve their own profitability while upgrading customer networks and helping SMBs save money.

Unbox 3.0 Delivers Speed, Security, Savings

The newly available release of Unbox introduces:

  • 100 Mbps Inspection Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) technology:†The addition of high-speed IPS/IDS technology opens up new opportunities for Uplevel’s Advanced Firewall solution. Release 3.0 delivers up to 120Mbps total throughput and allows more customers to leverage Unbox’s full firewall functionality without sacrificing speed or performance.
  • Improved IP addressing:†Uplevel’s new “Dynamic DNS” capabilities allow SMBs to stop paying Internet service providers (ISPs) for multiple static IP addresses required in standard firewall and VPN configurations. Eliminating these recurring costs results in significant savings without compromising performance and facilitates installation and remote management by the MSP.
  • 5TB network attached storage (NAS):†Unbox gateways are now available with three NAS options ranging from none to the new 5TB capacity. Increased storage offerings accommodate the needs of engineering, legal, and other industry sectors required to securely store and share large volumes of customer data, as well as streamlining centralized management across multiple sites.
  • Ease of use enhancements: Streamlined administration of firewalls, Wi-Fi access points (APs), and customer reporting promote easy management by MSP’s Tier 1 engineers.

Uplevel partners can remotely upgrade Unbox devices already installed at customer locations and instantly enable new features and services.

“Release 3.0 delivers a more robust and compelling solution for small companies while continuing to make managing multiple clients easier for our MSP partners,” says†Glenn Chagnot, VP Marketing at Uplevel. “Many of the new features began with requests from MSPs for solutions to very common, and often cost-prohibitive customer challenges. We’ll continue to innovate to make managed services the clear choice over the old ‘break/fix’ approach to IT, with more important new features coming soon.”
