“You're not getting that same level of security or the same level of availability [and] robustness,” notes Choudhary, who says VIPRE’s developers eventually figured out ways to boost the system’s storage and communications efficiency enough to make SMB-friendly pricing on AWS viable. Their work earned VIPRE recognition from Amazon as an “Advanced Technology Partner.”
VIPRE Endpoint Security-Cloud Edition took two years to create, according to Choudhary, and is the latest step in an ongoing initiative to refresh, modernize, and expand the company’s solution portfolio. That campaign includes the launch this March of a new endpoint protection, anti-phishing, and email security suite named VIPRE Advanced Security for Business that comes with machine learning technology, threat intelligence functionality, and real-time behavior monitoring.
VIPRE has been engaged since April in an aggressive partner recruitment effort that’s included hiring a new channel chief and launching a new MSP partner program, moreover. Simplicity and affordable pricing have figured prominently in that undertaking as well.
Cloud-based versions of other presently onsite-only VIPRE solutions are currently under development.
