The IoTSSA Cyber Security Services Expo is taking place today at TopGolf in Mt. Laurel, N.J. It is the sixth and final stop of the year for the IoT Security Services Association road tour. IoTSSA is a community of IT channel partners connecting industry security experts and vendors with IT service providers.
Brian Sherman, IoTSSA content director, opened the event with an overview of the market and how companies like TopGolf are using IoT solutions to give their golfers the ability to golf with other players at TopGolf locations around the country.
Next up was Susan Kostbar, senior director of member relations, vendor and distributor, for CompTIA, who presented CompTIA’s latest IoT research, plus offered 2020 security predictions and how they will impact SMBs’ and IT solution providers’ businesses.
Other topics on the agenda for the day include the dark web, end-user threat targets, and tips for growing your MSP business.
In addition, TruMethods President Gary Pica shares his method for mastering the cybersecurity sales conversations. And ConnectWise CISO John Ford talks about the need for MPSs to protect their own house.
The day features a pen test demo and a security expert panel discussion as well.
Attendees will also get an introduction to IoT Playbook, the integrator and solution provider’s guide to profiting from the Internet of Things, and a sister publication of ChannelPro.
The day ends with awards and prizes, followed by a golf outing.
The 2020 IoTSSA cybersecurity tour starts in Houston on January 30.
