The ASCII Group, Inc., an IT solution provider community, announced on September 20, 2012 that Datto Inc. won the ASCII Chicago Success Summit 'Best Cloud Solution' award for its business continuity solution SIRIS.

This is the fifth consecutive Best Cloud Solution award SIRIS has won this year. The latest achievement marks the 10th industry award SIRIS has won since its launch. Over the past 20 months, SIRIS has claimed three Best New Product awards at ASCII Success Summits, Best Service Provider Solution at MSPWorld in Austin, Texas, and Best Margin Booster at the ChannelPro-SMB Forum in Orlando, Fla.

Datto's SIRIS hybrid cloud solution offers instant on-site and off-site virtualization, screenshot backup verification, and business continuity to small and midsize businesses (SMBs). The Inc. 500 recently named Datto the fastest growing company in the Backup & Security category and the 38th fastest growing company in America.

The solution provider attendees at the ASCII Chicago Success Summit voted on the conference awards and the results were announced at the conclusion of the event.

“There was some stiff competition at the recent ASCII event, and we are honored that SIRIS was named the Best Cloud Solution,” says Austin McChord, CEO of Datto. “We have been an active participant in the ASCII Partnering Program and have found it successful in helping to build lasting relationships with ASCII members. I want to thank our partners for their support.”

SIRIS is a backup and disaster recovery (BDR) solution specifically designed for MSPs and VARs. SIRIS simplifies and streamlines the backup process by taking the image chain out of the backup equation. Data is taken directly from the server and converted into vmdk files, which allows for fast and simple recovery. Instant on-site and off-site virtualization features prevent SMBs from experiencing costly downtime in the event of a disaster.
