Named Anthos, the new offering is designed to make embracing hybrid cloud computing easier by enabling organizations to run containerized applications without modification both on premises and in the public cloud.

The new pact lets businesses buy Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure solutions on an as-a-service basis via HPE’s GreenLake service or on a traditional capital expenditure basis via pre-configured appliances built with HPE hardware.

Cloud developers will soon have access to consolidated support, billing, and management of solutions from MongoDB, Redis Labs, Elastic, DataStax, Neo4j, InfluxData, and Confluent within the GCP console, right alongside Google’s own tools.

Called Cloud Optix, the new system is designed to help organizations identify and protect workloads in public cloud computing environments, and keep them in compliance with internal and external policies.

Utilizing the same threat intelligence engine the vendor’s own security products draw on, the new offering gives end users and partners real-time insights on malicious URLs, advanced persistent threats, and other risks based on input from over 500 million users.

Together, the two systems now combine asset lifecycle optimization, workflow automation, and advanced service management functionality in a single cloud-optimized platform.
