Vendor to Watch: MSPbots

MSPbots offers data-driven process automation and business intelligence for MSPs. By Colleen Frye

A FORMER MSP, Daniel Wang (pictured) understands the pain points of running an MSP business. “The No. 1 expense in the business is your labor cost and the No. 1 challenge is people,” says the CEO of MSPbots, which automates MSP business processes by using low code, no code robotic process automation (RPA), machine learning, and data analytics.

After two and a half years in development, MSPbots came out of beta last December with a BI dashboard that is customizable with metrics such as utilization rate and late time entry,  and is integrated with the software MSPs use to run their business, such as Datto Autotask and RMM, ConnectWise Manage and Automate, Kaseya BMS and VSA, and more.

The company also offers a series of bots for standardizing and automating repetitive tasks. Next Ticket Manager, for example, analyzes all open service tickets and delivers them to techs based on priorities the MSP establishes. A human dispatcher, Wang explains, typically uses two to three decision-making parameters, such as technician experience or how long a client has been waiting, whereas the bot may have 30 to 40 rules for more granular and faster decision making. Wang says MSPs can get a bot up and running themselves in a few hours with a handful of rules, and then tweak and add more rules over time.

There are also bots for nudging employees to clock in or out, enter their time, attach a client agreement to their time entry, and more.

Subscription pricing is a la carte or bundled, with no long-term contract and a 90-day money back guarantee. The dashboard starts at $59 per month; Next Ticket Manager starts at $20/user/month. Onboarding and concierge services are also available for a fee. MSPbots offers free version of its dashboard and bots for MSPs to try out.
