
Close relationships inside Apple, he continues, enable Addigy users to take advantage of new macOS management capabilities more or less immediately. Support for Lockdown Mode, a remote security feature expected to arrive this month, will be available on day one, and Addigy has already put thousands of hours into readying its platform for the latest edition of macOS, named Ventura, which is due this fall. Among other things, the new release will include passwordless authentication, single sign-on, and a “device attestation” feature that ensures only legitimate devices and users connect to corporate networks.
“They’re really stepping up the level of security you can provide,” says Dettbarn of Apple.
Of course, Mac fans are more likely to appreciate Ventura’s new collaboration tools and support for using iPhones as webcams, but the end result is the same: There will soon be even more Macs for MSPs to manage within SMBs.
