2026 State of Data Integrity and AI Readiness

Precisely’s fourth annual “2026 State of Data Integrity and AI Readiness” report, produced in partnership with the Center for Applied AI and Business Analytics at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business, highlights a growing disconnect between organizations’ confidence in AI preparedness and the foundational data integrity capabilities needed to execute AI at scale, revealing key gaps in data trust, governance, infrastructure and skills that could undermine AI outcomes.

Key findings from the report include:

  • Leaders overwhelmingly report confidence in their AI readiness, but many acknowledge that infrastructure, skills and data readiness remain significant obstacles to scaling AI beyond pilots.
  • There is a notable gap between organizations reporting readiness and those with the governed, trusted data foundations required for successful AI implementation — a disparity the report refers to as the Agentic AI Data Integrity Gap.
  • AI continues to be a primary influence on data programs for the majority of organizations, yet challenges around operational maturity, data trust and skills persist as barriers to realizing measurable returns on AI investments.
  • Survey data from more than 500 senior data and analytics leaders indicates that while adoption of agentic AI is high, foundational gaps in data quality, governance and infrastructure could significantly limit responsible, enterprise-wide AI deployment.

Barracuda’s Email Threat Radar — January 2026

Barracuda threat analysts detailed emerging email threats observed in January 2026, including sophisticated QR-code phishing, callback phishing campaigns leveraging collaboration platforms, deceptive social engineering, and novel URL obfuscation techniques that enable attackers to evade detection and increase success rates.

Key findings from the blog post include:

  • The Tycoon phishing kit is now constructing fully scannable QR codes out of HTML table cells to evade detection and direct victims to malicious pages.
  • Callback phishing campaigns exploit Microsoft Teams by adding targets to groups and prompting them to call fraudulent support numbers where credentials and payment details can be harvested.
  • Campaigns impersonating Facebook “infringement warnings” deploy fake browser windows within emails to capture user credentials.
  • Attackers are using visually subtle link manipulations — such as replacing the standard forward slash (/) with a division slash (∕) — to cause email filters to miss malicious URLs and redirect users to unsafe pages.
