ConnectWise Pushes the Boundaries of Automation and Security at IT Nation Connect Global

From automation and AI to integrated cybersecurity and data recovery, ConnectWise used IT Nation Connect Global to showcase how its Asio platform is shaping the next generation of managed services.

ConnectWise unveiled sweeping Asio platform updates at IT Nation Connect Global in Orlando, FL. This underscored a clear message to MSPs: The future of managed services is autonomous, intelligent, and unified.

From expanded third-party patching and RPA breakthroughs to a fully integrated cybersecurity and BCDR ecosystem, ConnectWise is positioning Asio as the operational backbone for MSPs striving to improve efficiency, strengthen protection, and grow profitability.

“We’re building something that will change the DNA of how MSPs operate,” David Raissipour, chief product and technology officer, told ChannelPro in an interview. “Asio is about creating the framework that allows partners to grow faster, operate smarter, and be ready for what’s coming next.”

Expanding Automation and Streamlining Operations

During IT Nation Connect Global, which ran from Nov. 5-7, Raissipour took the stage for the Innovation Keynote. There, he introduced some of the major enhancements to the Asio platform.

“Asio isn’t a product; it’s the foundation that enables all the products on top of it,” he said during Nov. 6 Innovation Keynote, likening it to Apple’s iPhone.

“Every year, that platform enables a leap in innovation and brings to market a bunch of features and capabilities. That platform is going to keep evolving. And so is Asio. When we built this centralized data platform under it to power that data that is the oxygen for AI, that was a long-term investment we made.”

Asio’s newest capabilities introduced during the conference were remote monitoring and management (RMM), professional services automation (PSA), and robotic process automation (RPA).

Expanded Third-party Patching and PSA Enhancements

Among the most visible Asio upgrades revealed by ConnectWise:

  • Third-party Patching Explosion: Coverage jumped from roughly 350 to more than 7,000 applications, giving MSPs a massive boost in risk mitigation and compliance.
  • Modernized PSA Experience: A redesigned Unified Billing Intake, Calendar View, and custom fields and views. These make it easier for technicians and dispatchers to track time, consolidate data, and streamline workflows.

Those updates reflect a broader commitment to accelerate Asio adoption and deliver improvements partners have been asking for.

Partners will see the PSA’s Asio migration continue with transparency and frequent updates, added Executive Vice President of Product Jeff Bishop during the keynote. “We’ve missed things. I get it. We haven’t always done exactly what we said. Well-intentioned, but we haven’t always provided the most up-to-date communication. We’re fixing that, and that’s what this is going to help us do.”

Raissipour said this transparency is intentional. “Thou shalt not talk about futures that don’t have a delivery date that is within one quarter,” he told ChannelPro. “At the end of the day, people look for that message to make decisions about their business. We owe it to every partner to give them a real timeline of when we will have things ready for them to use.”

Josh Marenger, a ConnectWise MSP partner featured during the keynote, said the impact of these changes is already visible in day-to-day operations. “Some of the biggest impacts ConnectWise

RMM has had on our business is really the thriving efficiency and security,” said the vice president of Escanaba, MI-based DS Tech.

RPA Breakthroughs and Auvik Integration

ConnectWise also highlighted new automation partnerships that extend the Asio ecosystem. Notably, an expanded partnership with Auvik deepens Asio’s network monitoring layer. This grows Auvik’s existing partnership with Asio, which began at the platform’s original launch.

The expanded partnership offers NetFlow, Syslog, and full-stack visibility within ConnectWise RMM. Together, these updates aim to make proactive management and rapid response more seamless across complex client environments.

“When ConnectWise was going to launch the new RMM, it came to us as a partner to power the network management functionality within Asio,” Auvik President Mark Ralls told ChannelPro in an interview.

“It’s a really good partnership, and it’s built on a shared vision of helping MSPs simplify complex environments. We’re powering the network visibility and performance insights inside Asio, and together, we’re giving partners a single view that ties device, network, and application performance all in one place,” he said.

Auvik-powered network management by ConnectWise unveiled at IT Nation Connect Global 2025

ConnectWise’s Asio platform now offers network management powered by Auvik.

Ralls added that the integration lets every Asio customer access network management features as part of their subscription. “It’s a very deep relationship where customers at times don’t know where that contractual relationship lies. That is a sign of how well we’ve made that integration.”

Cybersecurity and BCDR Unite Under One Roof

The second major theme of the conference centered on security and resilience. ConnectWise revealed that its Asio platform now unites SIEM, MDR, and BCDR under a single pane of glass. This is an industry first that the company said can cut threat response and recovery times by up to 50%.

Russ Humphries, executive vice president of product management for security and data protection, described his passion as the integration of both security and IT operations. “That’s where you start getting the benefits of an integrated platform,” he said during the keynote.

“It’s where you can take the benefits of the agentic investments that some of my colleagues have been speaking to, and [glue] those security and IT operations capabilities into a cogent solution that you can provide to your customers,” he said.

Humphries emphasized that data protection is a core part of the security ecosystem, not an afterthought. “Business continuity and disaster recovery is a part of the platform because business continuity is an integral part of providing high-quality outcomes to your customers, whether it be an IT operations event or a security operations event,” he said.

Raissipour echoed that sentiment in the interview with ChannelPro, explaining how this integration plays out in practice.

“When something goes wrong and a customer needs help, it’s not just about one isolated thing. If a company gets hit with malware, our integrated security product in the SIEM receives that alert. Now, I can take that device offline, remediate the problem, restore it to a known healthy state, and get the employee back online. All of this happens because of that tight integration between applications built on top of this magical platform called Asio.”

A Step Toward the Age of Autonomous Service

With these announcements, ConnectWise reinforced its long-term goal. It seeks to move MSPs from reactive firefighting to proactive, outcome-driven operations through unified data, automation, and AI.

“Without that platform foundation, it’s not going anywhere,” Raissipour said during the keynote. “We could have taken the easy way out and duct-taped products together, but it would not have set us up for where we are today. The second half of this year was good. And, man, next year is going to be great.”

These latest Asio milestones are the building blocks for agentic AI-driven workflows. They will enable MSPs to deliver faster service, tighter security, and more consistent profitability without adding technician workload.

“AI can be a profit center for MSPs, and we’re still leaning into what that might look like,” said attendee Heather Noggle, owner of IT services company Codistac and board member of the Missouri Cybersecurity Center of Excellence. “You have to get ahead of it and get your name as a trusted partner. I think that’s one of the themes we’re seeing here.”

Next-gen MSP: A New Era

Through every keynote and announcement, ConnectWise emphasized that its mission remains simple. Asio’s open architecture and connected workflows aim to simplify toolsets while improving partner outcomes.

With RPA-powered Security Actions and agentic MDR slated for full release in early 2026, ConnectWise is signaling that the next era of managed services will be increasingly autonomous, intelligent, and integrated.

“Our job is to make partners’ lives easier,” Raissipour told ChannelPro. “If we can remove friction, automate the routine, and make data useful across every tool, we’ve done our job.

“We’re not building for the next quarter. We’re building for the next decade of MSPs.”
