IT Nation Secure 2025: Empowering MSPs to Navigate Cybersecurity Challenges

Join ChannelPro on a look back at the top moments at IT Nation Secure. The annual conference offered essential cybersecurity insights for MSPs to grow their businesses.

As cybersecurity threats become more sophisticated, MSPs need smarter strategies and sharper tools to keep clients safe and stay competitive. Enter ConnectWise’s IT Nation Secure 2025, a three-day conference arming service providers with the latest cybersecurity insights. The event in Orlando, FL, offered practical know-how and cutting-edge solutions to level up their defenses and drive growth.

The annual conference was June 2–4 at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center. It gathered industry experts, thought leaders, and MSP professionals for three days of intensive learning and networking — the latter of which was a highlight for many.

“The people you meet, the like-minded people, it shows we’re all in it together,” said Mike Stoykovich, project engineer at I3 Business Solutions, an MSP in Grand Rapids, MI. “The things you can learn from them is the best part.”

A Platform, PSA, and Partnership

At the event, ConnectWise executives took the stage on Day 2 to introduce several new and upgraded solutions. During the Day 2 keynote, leaders unveiled:

  • PSA powered by the ConnectWise Asio platform along with the ConnectWise Pro bundle
  • The updated ConnectWise SIEM
  • A cybersecurity integration with Microsoft through the Pax8 Marketplace

ConnectWise aimed these enhancements at ensuring its MSP partners have the solutions and tools they need to grow more efficiently. “At the end of the day, it’s all about integrating products, making them easier to deploy, and helping our partners scale,” said David Raissipour, chief product and technology officer at ConnectWise, during the June 3 opening keynote. “We’re focused on eliminating redundant tasks, streamlining operations, and giving MSPs the freedom to grow their business.”

ConnectWise Urges Partners to Patch ScreenConnect Vulnerability

On June 2, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) added a ConnectWise ScreenConnect vulnerability to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. The flaw, an improper authentication vulnerability, could allow remote code execution if machine keys are compromised. While CISA has not confirmed the use of active ransomware tied to this vulnerability, it advised organizations to follow vendor mitigation steps or discontinue use if a fix is unavailable.

In response, ConnectWise has issued detailed remediation steps and confirmed that patches have been made available. The company is urging all partners to ensure they are running supported versions and to apply updates immediately.

Here’s more from ConnectWise’s May 28, 2025, advisory:

“We have launched an investigation with one of the leading forensic experts, Mandiant. We have contacted all affected customers and are coordinating with law enforcement. As part of our work with Mandiant, we implemented enhanced monitoring and hardening measures across our environment. We have not observed any further suspicious activity in any customer instances. The security of our services is paramount to us, and we are closely monitoring the situation and will share additional information as we are able.”

ConnectWise will provide updates and guidance through its Security Trust Center.

Boosting the Cybersecurity Game Plan

IT Nation Secure 2025 served as a launchpad for MSPs to sharpen their security edge and came away with a game plan that actually works.
