Zix Corp. has rolled out a new release of its email archiving solution featuring support for 48 extra data sources.
In addition to leading email solutions, ZixArchive now stores data from a variety of social media, instant messaging, mobile, web, audio, and video platforms as well. The product’s Plus edition, which provides functionality not available in the entry-level Essentials SKU, also now includes advanced eDiscovery capabilities including message review, classification, data tagging, and the ability to do content-based message retrieval.

With ZixArchive, we are providing a solution that captures these new methods of communication that regulators like FINRA and the SEC will audit, ultimately, ensuring our customers’ compliance strategies are sound.”
According to Zix, ZixArchive is used by more than 21,000 companies worldwide, including 30 percent of U.S. banks, more than 1,200 hospitals, and the federal government’s Securities and Exchange Commission.
The system is optimized for organizations in the financial services, healthcare, and government verticals that must comply with data retention regulations, as well as law firms and legal departments looking to streamline responses to eDiscovery requests.
Zix acquired cloud distributor AppRiver LLC last week for $275 million in a bid to extend expand its portfolio of threat protection, encryption, and archiving solutions into additional email-related and cloud-based markets.
