Seiko Instruments Launches New MP-B20 Mobile Printer

New printer model specifically designed for “Pay at the Table” and line-busting applications.

Torrance, CA, May 3 2017 – Seiko Instruments USA Inc. (SII) Thermal Printer Division, http://www.siiprinters.com, a globally recognized leader in thermal printer technology today announced the availability of its newest mobile printer known as the MP-B20 Mobile Printer. The printer, which features the ability to withstand multiple drops from up to 5 feet, offers a 2-inch paper width and high-resolution receipts that print at more than 3 inches per second—one of the highest print speeds on the market.

Similar to the MP-A40 Mobile Printer that was introduced by Seiko Instruments this past summer, the MP-B20 printer features a contemporary yet functional design. This is especially helpful in vertical markets where efficiency and speed are paramount and require items such as barcoding—for instance in a medical and/or hospital setting. Other verticals can benefit from the printer’s rapid speed and compatibility with mobile payment and mobile POS applications, such as a line-busting scenario at a retail store, or a “Pay-at-the-Table” and direct receipt delivery situation in a restaurant.

Other important features of the new MP-B20 mobile printer include the latest operating systems including Windows, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10. There is also SDK availability for Android print class library for added mobility. The printer also features a USB style charger, as well as a compact and portable cradle for quick and easy charging options.

“As today’s consumers and end users are looking for a more digitally oriented lifestyle that fits a diverse set of needs, it was only fitting to develop an additional option as the follow-up to the MP-A40 mobile printer,” said Yoshi Murakami, General Manager, Seiko Instruments USA Thermal Printer Division. “Similar to the MP-A40, the MP-B20 was developed to capture a diverse mix of vertical markets looking to add ease of use at a more compact level, specifically in mobile-driven environments like “Pay-at-the-Table” and line-busting applications.”

Shipments of the MP-B20 Series printers are now available. For more information, please go to www.siiprinters.com, or call (877) 905-2291.
