illusive networks Introduces New Deceptions at the Network Level to Protect Against Advanced Attacks

Deception-based cybersecurity pioneers bolster their technology with a new layer of network protection to defend against Man-In-The-Middle attacks and network reconnaissance

NEW YORK and TEL AVIV, Israel, April 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — illusive networks, the leader of deception-based cybersecurity, announces the launch of Network Level Deceptions, enhancing its patented Deceptions EverywhereÆ technology to proactively defend against advanced attacks.

With a noted rise in cyber attacks on organizations globally, attackers are becoming ever more sophisticated, using various methods such as leveraging network traffic to execute their campaigns.

Adding to illusive’s state of the art deceptions at the endpoint and server level, a new family of deceptions has been released for attackers attempting to acquire knowledge and / or manipulate data at the network level. This extended deceptive surface enables an early, high-fidelity detection of various malicious network activities. Detections include network reconnaissance where network protocols and tools are used to identify target potential network assets and Man-in-the-Middle (MiTM) attacks. MiTM attacks occur when hackers actively eavesdrop and may alter communication between two parties, to the point where they control the entire conversation and secure vital information. Upon detection of attack attempts, an alert is immediately triggered and source-based forensics is collected in real-time.

“Our new layer of Deceptions at the Network Level makes it virtually impossible for an attacker to go undetected while performing lateral movements,” says illusive networks’ CEO Ofer Israeli. “Our preemptive approach to cybersecurity, now enhanced by further protection of the network layer, is an optimal solution for large enterprises to protect against ever increasing sophisticated attacks.”

Continuing to evolve their award-winning, Deceptions EverywhereÆ technology, Deceptions at the Network Level is fully integrated into illusive’s comprehensive solution suite. Other innovative product launches include their recently announced Deception Management System , Attacker View, Wire Transfer Guard, and Advanced Ransomware Guard products. The new Network Level Deceptions are available to all illusive’s customers at no extra charge.

illusive’s agentless technology blankets a company’s entire network — every endpoint, every server and now network traffic – with information that deceives attackers. When attackers act upon the false information, illusive neutralizes the attack and triggers a detailed breach report, enabling security administrators to mitigate the attack in its early stages.

This announcement follows the recent whitepaper ‘Why Deception is Essential to your Cybersecurity Strategy’ issued by Frost and Sullivan’ that commended illusive’s approach.
