Tech Data Corporation has signed a new distribution agreement with Actsoft, a developer of GPS-based mobile applications, to offer Actsoft’s portfolio of machine-to-machine (M2M) and mobile resource management (MRM) solutions to Tech Data’s reseller partners in the United States.
“The addition of Actsoft’s mobile solutions to our portfolio further enables our solution providers, especially those who partner with small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs), to help their clients better manage mobile employees and vehicle fleets,” says Yvette Martinez-Wilson, director, Carrier Relations & Services, Mobile Solutions & Retail at Tech Data. “Along with this niche offering, Actsoft services can be combined with our carrier programs to create fully connected turn-key solutions for our customers in a variety of vertical markets.”
Actsoft leverages the capabilities of GPS-enabled mobile and M2M devices to track employee and vehicle location, provide remote time punch, customize wireless work forms, and dispatch work orders. The company’s solutions provide visibility into business activities with location-based features like GPS tracking, geo-fencing, and landmarks. The new agreement enables Tech Data’s channel of solution providers to pursue opportunities in key vertical markets such as transportation, construction, education, and field services.
