Vienna, Va.-based Cetrom Information Technology Inc., a provider of custom cloud solutions, has completed the audit regulations defined by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and has been awarded the Service Organization Control (SOC 2) Type II certification.
To achieve the SOC 2 certification, Cetrom was required to complete security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy reports that demonstrate the company’s ability to meet or exceed industry standards to safeguard data. A rigorous process that reviews the entirety of organizational operations and personnel, the comprehensive audit, conducted by an independent third party, evaluates the design and efficacy of security controls and backup procedures. Compliance with AICPA’s process means the measures instituted by Cetrom are not only appropriate, but strictly maintained and enforced.†
“We entered into the SOC 2 certification process because it is critical for current and potential clients to know their data is safe and secure. Cetrom’s certification will give potential customers seeking a cloud solution a tangible measurement to evaluate us, while current clients can rest assured that their data resides with an organization that values their critical information and is compliant with pre-determined benchmarks of excellence,” says Christopher Stark, president and CEO.
