NComputing Introduces Desktop-as-a-Service Solution for Service Providers

NComputing’s Server Based Computing approach to DaaS provides service providers with an alternative to VDI-based DaaS solutions.

NComputing has introduced a Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) solution designed for service providers enabling them to roll-out hosted desktops as a service to SMBs with lower cost and complexity than other approaches to DaaS.

Desktop virtualization is playing an increasingly important role for SMBs who are looking for more efficient delivery and management of the corporate desktop. DaaS takes this to the next level by simplifying the delivery of desktops as a service, eliminating the need for IT to build and manage a desktop virtualization infrastructure, while enabling rapid provisioning, simple scaling, and easy management of end user desktops.

Furthermore, a Server Based Computing (SBC) model is becoming the ideal DaaS approach for SMBs, where simplicity and affordability are imperative. By enabling service providers to build DaaS solutions based on a SBC model such as the NComputing vSpace platform, SMBs can now more easily realize the benefits of desktop virtualization delivered as a cloud service.

“To best service the needs of SMBs, cloud service providers are looking for powerful, yet affordable alternatives for delivering Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) solutions. NComputing’s Server Based Computing approach to DaaS gives service providers the ability to offer their customers a hosted Desktop-as-a-Service that costs less than a PC and is easier to deploy and manage than a VDI-based DaaS solution. In addition, NComputing offers service providers a fully integrated end-to-end solution including Windows and Linux desktop and application virtualization, high performance low cost thin clients, Client software for PCs/laptops, and mobile client software for iPads and Android tablets,” say Raj Dhingra, CEO of NComputing.

NComputing’s Server Based Computing approach to DaaS offers service providers with an alternative to VDI-based DaaS solutions. In addition, NComputing end-to-end DaaS solution for service providers includes the full vSpace desktop virtualization software stack and both software and thin clients, providing a turn-key, one-stop shop for the end-to-end solution.
