WPC 2013: Are You There? Don’t Forget Your Surface Deal

Microsoft offers Surface RT/Pro at crazy discounted prices.

Here’s a little public service announcement for any channel partners attending Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference in Houston this week. Microsoft is offering up Crazy-Eddie style deals on the 128GB Surface Pro and 64GB Surface RT, which can be picked up for $399 and $99 respectively. They’re also allowing you to take one of each if you choose.

As far as the custom MPN sleeves for the first 5,000 that Jon Roskill mentioned… still no word if they’ve been cleared through customs yet and our repeated calls to the port authority have been largely ignored.

Trust me, it doesn’t matter if the whole goal is to clear out inventory for a new breed of unannounced Surface products later this year, both current gen products are still great machines. I know it’s not as good a deal as the free units handed out at Build, but even at those prices it’s too good of a deal to pass up – even if the custom sleeves never show.

Go forth and get your Surface on. If you decide you don’t like it, you can send it to me as a gift. Really, I won’t mind.
