Cloud services and communications provider Cbeyond Inc. has teamed up global IT giant Insight Enterprises Inc. to offer Cbeyond’s TotalCloud Data Center cloud computing services to Insight’s customer base.
“This is a major partnership for us given Insight’s experience, geographic reach, and broad client base,” says Zane Long, Cbeyond’s vice president of indirect sales.
Through the InsightCloud Solution Center, Insight’s 70,000+ commercial and public sector clients, as well as some 5,000 manufacturers and publishers, will soon have the ability to purchase and manage Cbeyond’s TotalCloud Data Center, a suite of cloud services and solutions.
TotalCloud Data Center is a cloud data center Infrastructure-as-a-Service product line that comprises virtual and physical servers and includes the Microsoft Hyper-V hypervisor management engine, Cisco’s Unified Computing System, EMC storage, F5 load balancing, and a Fortinet firewall (IDS/IPS).
Cbeyond offers management of the data center environment, server hardware, and OS layer (installation, testing and patches) for virtual and physical servers. Meanwhile, clients are able to:
- Allocate resources across any number of virtual machines (ranging in size from 2 GB of RAM to 1 TB and from 2 vCPUs to 64 vCPUs).
- Employ Fiber Channel SAN Storage across virtual machines and scale as appropriate.
- Mix and match virtual and physical blade servers in a public, private, or hybrid data center environment.
