Tandberg Data, a data storage provider, has added the 1.5TB RDX data cartridge to its portfolio of RDX data protection solutions for SMBs. With RDX technology, SMBs can quickly store or backup their data onto the rugged removable RDX data cartridges. This guarantees instant availability, off-site safekeeping, and easy transport.
Used in conjunction with AccuGuard, Tandberg’s backup and deduplication software, enables users to store up to 30TB of compressed data on a single pocket-sized cartridge. The forward and backward compatibility protects the technology investment because the RDX cartridge will work in all RDX docks, past and future.
RDX QuikStation customers will benefit from the new cartridge capacity when they fully populate their disk libraries with 1.5TB RDX data cartridges, increasing the appliance’s native storage capacity from 8TB to 12TB. The 1.5TB RDX cartridge will be available in September with a three-year advance replacement warranty.
