Vancouver, British Columbia-based Peer 1 Hosting’s new Smart Partner Program is an enhanced program that moves from a four-tier revenue-commitment model to a two-tier performance-based model. The PEER 1 Hosting portfolio includes managed hosting, dedicated servers under the ServerBeach brand, co-location, and cloud services under the Zunicore brand.
The Smart Partner Program has no minimum monthly requirement and offers referral partners a monthly commission for the life of the original contract. Partners who exceed $15,000 in referred monthly recurring revenue are upgraded to the Smart program and their commissions become “evergreen.”
Previously, on a $5,000 deal (24-month contract), partners at the bronze level would earn a one-time commission of $2,500. For the same deal with the Smart program, partners will earn $9,600 over two years, a 300 percent increase for former bronze-level partners.
The Smart Partner Program includes:
- Easy back-office management. Partners can calculate their commissions every month as there is no annual partner audit.
- No up-front revenue commitment. The performance-based model provides Smart partners an 8 percent revenue share for the term of the original contract. The Smart program offers 12 percent revenue share that is evergreen.
- Dedicated channel representatives.
- Partner portal. A new feature, a co-branded collateral plug-in, allows partners to upload their logos and contact information, and have the system create co-branded materials for downloading and sharing.
- Referral events at the regional level.
