Remote monitoring and management (RMM) developer LabTech Software has announced new native Mac and Linux agents for its software. The agents enable a broader range of supported administration, configuration, and remote troubleshooting capabilities.
“LabTech’s new native Mac and Linux agents make it easy for service providers to embrace, extend contracts, and achieve greater support for heterogeneous customer environments,” states a LabTech press release submitted to Channel Pro-SMB.
Natively written agents enable the collection of system inventory, monitoring, system tray functionality, SNMP collectors, remote control, and command line capabilities. These features provide LabTech MSPs with such managed services and customer service benefits as:
- Rapid Response — Activities are responded to via connection with Mac or Linux systems.
- Improved Visibility — Audit systems hardware and software enable visibility into system components.
- Remote Command-Line Options — Advanced troubleshooting or system administration are easier to perform.
- Tray Functionality — End-user system tray functionality enables quick access to common tasks, like ticket creation, screen capture sending, and system information viewing.
- System Health – Monitoring, alerting, and reporting about key system health indicators have been improved. †
