Cloud platform provider Doyenz has released a spring update of its offerings, which includes the new rCloud Agent for VMware vSphere.
The rCloud solution is Doyenz’s cloud recovery resource for SMB production environments. The rCloud Agent for vSphere enables SMBs to restore their environments quickly, with access to applications and data. It protects virtual machines (VMs) from local server or on-site failures by replicating VM snapshots of each VM to rCloud, identifying each snapshot as a recovery point.
“With this new support, Doyenz is addressing the gap that exists in the SMB market by providing cloud recovery for vSphere environments in less than 15 minutes,” says Doyenz CRO Eric Webster. “Before this release, the options were limited and cost prohibitive for the SMB to implement a disaster recovery solution for their virtual environments.”
Features of the new rCloud Agent for vSphere include:
- Automatic Agent Update — Updates are automatically deployed to the agent.
- †rCloud Centralized Management – A centralized web portal enables access to data for recovery of vSphere environments.
rCloud platform enhancements include:
- Integration with ConnectWise — Automatic population of Doyenz rCloud via the ConnectWise professional services automation software.
- Veeam Backup & Replication Integration — rCloud co-exists with the backup protection software.
Additional service enhancements include:
- New Port Mapping Tool — Direct management of the mapping for multiple machines in rCloud, enabling them to network as if together in an on-premise environment.
- Bandwidth Calculator — Assessment tool for selecting ideal upload method.
- Expedited Disk Processing — Web portal for use in expedited preparation and importation of data to rCloud.
