TRENDnet Shares Its ‘450 Mbps Portfolio’ with CES Attendees

The networking hardware manufacturer demos all its latest high-performance adapters and bridges in Las Vegas.

Networking hardware innovator TRENDnet chose the 2012 International CES forum in Las Vegas this week to demonstrate the 450 Mbps products it has released over the last eighteen months.

TRENDnet Shares Its '450 Mbps Portfolio' with CES Attendees“TRENDnet remains the only brand to offer 450 Mbps adapters and media bridges,” touts the company in a statement submitted to Channel Pro-SMB. These adapters and bridges connect computers, Internet televisions, gaming consoles, and more to wireless networks at 450 Mbps speeds.

MODEL TEW-692GR
TRENDnet calls its 450 Mbps Concurrent Dual Band Wireless N Router “the first router to support 450 Mbps speeds on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands at the same time.” This router enables easy streaming of HD video throughout the home. Gigabit Wide Area Network and Local Area Network ports transfer wired data fast. Embedded GREENnet technology reduces port-based power consumption by up to 70 percent.

The TEW-692GR comes with a 3-year limited warranty. It carries a retail price of $150.

MODEL TEW-691GR
TRENDnet’s 450 Mbps Wireless N Gigabit Router is also among “firsts” — the company says it was the first 450 Mbps router on the market. It, too, comes with a 3-year limited warranty. It carries a retail price of $125.

MODEL TEW-680MB
The TEW-680MB Media Bridge sports four Gigabit ports to connect devices (such as gaming consoles, internet televisions, network video recorders, media players, etc.) to a 450 Mbps wireless network. Connect the TEW-680MB to a common 2.4 GHz network or to a less congested 5 GHz network to wirelessly stream HD video to your media center. Energy saving GREENnet technology reduces port based power consumption by up to 70 percent.

The TEW-680MB comes with a 3-year limited warranty. It carries a retail price of $110.

MODEL TEW-684UB
Computers purchased with integrated wireless are most often outfitted with 150 Mbps Wireless N — which bottlenecks performance to 150 Mbps. The TEW-684UB USB Adapter upgrades laptop or desktop wireless connectivity to 450 Mbps wireless speeds.

The TEW-684UB comes with a 3-year limited warranty. It carries a retail price of $75.

MODEL TEW-687GA
TRENDnet’s 450 Mbps Wireless N Gaming Adapter, model TEW-687GA, networks a gaming console, television, or media player to the Internet with a 450 Mbps wireless connection. Setup is quick and simple, with no drivers to install and a Gigabit Ethernet port transfers wired data fast.

The TEW-687GA comes with a 3-year limited warranty. It carries a retail price of $120.

MODEL TEW-690AP
TRENDnet’s 450 Mbps Wireless N Access Point, model TEW-690AP, supports Access Point, Wireless Distribution System (WDS), and Repeater mode functionality. A Gigabit Ethernet port maintains high-performance wired connections.

The TEW-690AP comes with a 3-year limited warranty. It carries a retail price of $140.
