Hostway Corp. Teams Up with StillSecure to Offer Managed Network Security

The partnership enables Hostway to offer cloud security solutions for both private and public cloud hosting through FlexCloud. The company has added eight packages to support PCI compliance initiatives.

Cloud hosting and infrastructure-as-a-service solution provider Hostway Corp. has expanded its selection of data and network security solutions for SMBs through a partnership with managed network security provider StillSecure. Specifically, Hostway has added eight standard security packages ranging from economical multi-tenant options to solutions designed to support PCI compliance initiatives.

In early 2012, Hostway will extend their partnership with StillSecure to provide comprehensive cloud security solutions for both private and public cloud hosting through Hostway’s FlexCloud. The managed solutions will support physical, virtual, and multi-tenant environments, solve the unique security gaps created by virtual environments, and help Hostway customers comply with the numerous regulations surrounding audit and logging controls.

“Security is at the forefront of nearly every infrastructure discussion we have with clients and prospects,” explains Aaron Hollobaugh, Hostway’s vice president of marketing. “Prior to this release, most of those conversations diverged on security ‘needs’ and security budgets. Hostway can now offer flexible, cost-effective managed security services that are market driven and instantly fill a security gap within the managed hosting marketplace.”

For StillSecure, the partnership provides an opportunity to expand its market base. “Our managed network security solutions are a perfect fit for Hostway because they are already auditor-approved and monitored continuously by our team of security experts,” says StillSecure president and CEO Rajat Bhargava. “Such an enhanced security level will help Hostway address escalating concerns around network security much more effectively, as well as provide a solution set to customers that is comprehensive and cost effective.”

Because of the new partnership, Hostway is able to offer new packages designed to support PCI compliance initiatives. Packages include:

  • Introductory Package — An advanced network firewall, SSL VPN remote access, patch management, and vulnerability scanning utilizing a multi-tenant deployment model, which enables multiple customers to be hosted on a single appliance platform with customer data physically separated to ensure confidentiality and security. Pricing for the managed security solution is based on the number of hosts protected.
  • Multi-Tenant & Dedicated Bundles — Various combinations of intrusion detection and/or prevention, log management, file integrity monitoring, and a Web application firewall for Hostway customers needing to block attacks on their website, web applications, or e-commerce.
  • PCI Complete — This StillSecure solution features multiple auditor-approved services, policies, and procedures to help SMBs comply with the managed security sub-requirements defined in the Payment Card Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
