Online and cloud storage backup provider Storage Guardian has completed integration of its online backup software with ConnectWise’s Professional Services Automation†(PSA) software.
Storage Guardian employed ConnectWise PSA APIs in order to offer SMBs a “comprehensive backup session reporting that gives managed service providers complete control of their clients’ backup activities via a standard ConnectWise PSA service board,” the company states in a press release submitted to Channel Pro-SMB.
The solution is designed for use by MSPs that remotely manage data backup for numerous clients. The new Storage Guardian integration automatically notifies MSPs on their ConnectWise PSA service board if any of their client backups did not execute properly.
“Thousands of IT solutions providers rely on ConnectWise to provide a unified view of their managed services and to boost their business efficiency and profitability,” explains Dave Minns, Storage Guardian’s client services manager. “Adding Storage Guardian’s data feed to that 360-degree view means MSPs and VARs can now be in complete control of their clients’ cloud backup process and can take a proactive, rather than reactive, role in managing backup procedures for their clients.”
The new integration enables ConnectWise PSA customers to implement and deploy Storage Guardian’s cloud backup service for their clients without the need for any additional MSP modules. MSPs that currently resell Storage Guardian’s cloud backup services can now license the ConnectWise PSA product and take immediate advantage of its backup reporting and efficiencies.
Moreover, Storage Guardian can tailor the structure and frequency of ConnectWise reports to meet the varied needs of different solutions providers. It can also offer MSPs cloud backup services starting at $50/TB/month.
“We’re getting a very positive response from MSPs that have signed up for the service,” adds Minns, “and we’re happy to schedule evaluations for ConnectWise customers who want to add cloud backup to their current suite of services.”
