Avnet, an IT distributor, is now offering cloud computing training for its VARs and ISVs in the U.S. and Canada. The new training program is designed to help partners learn the skills necessary to enter the cloud computing market, offer cloud services, and increase profits around their cloud businesses. Led by Avent’s solutions architects, the two-day training includes tracks for sales professionals and technical staff.
Avnet’s CloudReady program, part of the SolutionsPath initiative, has been helping partners get into the cloud market for more than a year. The first cloud training program from Avnet included a three-part webinar on cloud computing, which is accessible to Avnet partners.
As part of Avnet’s CloudReady program, the new cloud training offers a foundation in cloud computing, then separates into two tracks: Sales Track, and Solutions Engineering Track. The Sales Track helps sales professionals understand key priorities and pain points for end users, and includes a sales toolkit to help sales pros jumpstart the sales process.
The Solutions Engineering Track guides technical staff through cloud reference architectures and the Cloud Maturity Model. Technical staff will learn how to develop customers’ cloud strategies, and how people, processes, and technology fit into a customer’s adoption.
